Consulting Services
General consulting
Balanced Scorecard Australia’s consulting services combine training, team building and problem-solving to assist clients build and maintain their own balanced scorecard system. Services can vary from a comprehensive role for BSA to a solely advisory role.
The process of developing a scorecard system typically begins with an offsite meeting with the senior leadership team. From there, the system is built entirely at the client's location during a series of facilitated workshops. BSA’s experienced consultants train the client's team, facilitate all workshops, and help develop the initial scorecard system typically in 6 – 12 weeks. This consulting option takes advantage of BSA’s experience and results in having a system built and operational in the shortest period of time and with minimum difficulty.
In-house workshops
In-house workshops are designed to give an organisation's leaders and managers the information they need to make an informed decision on whether and how to proceed with a balanced scorecard program.
There are 2 levels of workshop:
- Half-day workshops: these workshops normally consist of a detailed presentation of the balanced scorecard methodology by a Senior Associate, followed by detailed discussion. After the workshop, the Associate is available for more detailed discussions if the client so chooses.
- 2 day workshops: These workshops enable the senior management staff of an organisation to develop a much more informed overview of what a balanced scorecard system would mean for their organisation, while involving them in the first steps of building a balanced scorecard system - without any commitment to going any further. Such a workshop has significant stand alone value as it can take the place of the normal annual planning and strategy workshops that many organisations already have. It leaves organisations with a detailed Strategic Framework.
Expert Advice
We can help clients who primarily want to build their planning and management system themselves, but recognise the value of having an expert review their work periodically to ensure that lessons learned and best practices have been incorporated into their system's design and development. There is no need to ‘re-invent the wheel’.
Would the balanced scorecard be a good fit for our organisation?
This is the question many organisations ask while weighing their options. Luckily, this is not a question that has to be answered in haste.
BSA offers low-cost introductory seminars at client locations to give organisation leaders and managers the information they need to make an informed decision on whether and how to proceed with a scorecard development program.
