Training Courses

Overview

Balanced Scorecard Australia provides 2, 3, and 5-day training courses about developing, implementing and maintaining balanced scorecards systems (BSCs) in organisations. The courses are held alternately each month in Melbourne and Sydney. To view details of all of the training workshops please see the course catalogue  and the course schedule. To help us plan courses in other cities please use the Course Preferences form.

Balanced scorecard systems allow organisations to clearly see where they are going and provide the mechanisms to enable organisations to get there and to monitor their progress along the way. (For a more detailed description of the balanced scorecard methodology go to About the balanced scorecard methodology )

What our training courses do
BSA’s training courses are designed to help individuals and balanced scorecard teams understand how to build and implement a balanced scorecard management system and how to avoid the common mistakes that have been made by others. They draw upon the US Balanced Scorecard Institute’s long consulting experience in both the public and private sector and upon our Australian consultants’ local experience. (For more information about the Balanced Scorecard Institute, go to About the US Balanced Scorecard Institute )

The main courses
The main training course, Introduction to the Balanced Scorecard, is taught each quarter. For those looking for a more comprehensive approach, the Balanced Scorecard Institute's Certification Program is a ten-day program providing skills in leading a balanced scorecard planning and management system implementation. It is usually split into two 5 day programs held approximately six months apart., but can be delivered as a 10 day program if there is sufficient demand.

0ur other courses

In particular, there are courses that are focussed on the needs of the public sector, local governments, educational institutions and not-for-profit organisations, and courses that are focussed more closely on performance measurement, using strategy maps and cascading balanced scorecards through an organisation. See the course schedule and course catalogue.
